Safety Features

Nestle within a gated community, parents/guardians can rest assured multiple safety features are implemented including below:

  1. Security guards -exit is guarded by 24/7 with registrations of all entries.
  2. Designated Pick up/ Drop off  solely by parents/guardian
  3. Non-congested and organized pickup/drop-off  area
  4. Fences and locks– To ensure security and control access, the outdoor area is enclosed by fences, and the main gate remains latched to prevent unauthorized entry.
  5. 2 accessible exits Offering the advantage of multiple evacuation routes during emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
  6. 24/7 CCTV availability at indoors and outdoor
  7. Hygenic facilities– Kitchen, and washroom are cleaned with enzyme wash for an anti-bacterial effect
  8. Vetted visitations are vetted thru prior to entry or existing long time friends of our community
  9. Back entrance usage The back entrance is exclusively designated for parcel pick-up and delivery services.

Emergencies

Our teachers understand the significance of first aid and are briefed on CPR techniques for emergency situations. They are prepared to provide immediate care for minor injuries using a well-stocked First Aid kit and effectively handle situations involving blockage of the body airways. Critical situations can be addressed at the nearby emergency clinic, which is located within a 2-kilometer distance or a 5-minute travel time.

Visitation

Is solely by appointment to deter oncoming strangers during school sessions and to ensure the safety and emotional stability of our children by preventing unnecessary distractions.

Environment

Strategically selected, the 2 -storey corner property provides ample space indoors as well as outdoors to grow lush and green vegetation as well as free- space to run and play without constraint.

We offer a home-like holistic environment for its community with Indoor space filled mainly with non-plastic materials such as wood, metal, and fabric.

Indoor play and decorated elements are specially selected to create warmth, coziness to entice sensory and motor development. Indoor areas consist of 2 classrooms (1 occupying the upper level, 1 on ground floor), a play area, and a kitchen which provides ample space for play and community gathering at any one period.

Outdoor facilities include a playhouse, monkey bar, knot ropes, and sandbox area that enables children to express their inner selves thru molding and drawing on sand or connect with other children via a game of ‘masak-masak’.

The surrounding vicinity is teemed with lush green vegetation, plants, and trees , fostering profound sensory learning experiences.

Involvement in green vegetation farming not only nurtures children’s motor development but also strengthens their grasp of sustainability principles, encouraging practical application.

Teachers

Morning Stars Playhouse a Waldorf- based education playschool, is the brainchild of Director and Head Teacher Yong Hui Zee who is a Waldorf preschool–trained childcare specialist with board-certified Anthroposophy training. Her joy of being with children lead to her passion for childcare education.

 Headteacher Hui Zee is constantly enriching herself and her team with new techniques and information on childcare to provide an enhanced life-learning journey to members of our community. She has visited Freshwater Creek Steiner School and Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School in Australia to experience and obtain best practices of teacher- children’s relationships.

She strongly believes in nurturing and allowing children to express and discover themselves via a holistic approach with clearly defined boundaries will shape and develop them to become responsible citizens contributing to the greater good of our nation.

Therefore, we extend invitations to mentors who share similar values and beliefs, Our teachers are expected to possess a deep understanding of child development, cultivating creativity and imagination in their teaching methods. They embrace a holistic approach, considering the intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of each child, while building strong relationships with their students and parents/guardians.

 Collaborative and reflective in nature, our teachers work alongside colleagues and parents, to continually seek personal and professional growth.
